non-contact angular sensor designed by TOCOS own developed magnet circuit.
Hall IC is used as a detecting component.
Three types (A, B, C) of Hall ICs. Different type of Hall IC is optionally available upon
customers requirements of low-cost, temp. range, rotational angle and output voltage range

Eddy current effects

When AC is applied to coils, AC magnetic field will be generated. Inductance of coils decreases as
the AC magnetic field moves over conductor.

Detection of angle

Through the rotation of the rotor, individual impedance of two coils changes relatively.
The impedance changes are taken out as voltage.

Background of technology

Through the use of angular detecting sensors, we pursued severe reliability With no moving
contacts, long-life sensing can be achieved.
Low cost: Bushing is a one-piece design with resin body case to satisfy the market demands.
Small hysteresis has been achieved because of optimizing bushing construction. High linearity has
been achieved because of optimizing both rotor and coils.
